Dream as if youll live forever,live as if youll die tomorrow
My name is Elena Schou and I was born on 7th of March 1976 in Galatz,theDanubes City, in Romania,named Dracula`s country,.Since I was a little child the music gave me a special frame of mind,a feeling that I could live on a different stave of life.Not only this fact determined me to become a singer but also the reason that my mother was a singer in her youthful years and I kept wondering if she gave me her talent and passion for music.
As a result,in 1995,after finishing highschool,I felt that I have to dedicate some years for studying music,for being able to understand more better its resorts,so I decided to attend canto classes in The Art School,Canto section,in Galatz.After this,my life changed completely because I had the opportunity to meet and sing with many professional people.One of them was a great romanian jazzman named Puiu Cretu,from whom I learned that music is more than rhythm,vibration,musical notes,its way of feeling,thinking,living your life,its a spiritual world that makes us better.Thats why I learned many wonderful secrets of music that helped me improve my style of singing.After Puiu Cretus death in 2002,the idea of singing abroad appealed to me.
In 2002-2003 I got my first contract in a foreign country:in Cyprus an ex-british colony in a restaurant named Captains View.I had my experience because I sang in different cities from Romania,also in the capital of Bucharest so it wasnt difficult to accommodate to another environment.My next contract was in USA (2003-2004),more precisely in Florida,Fort Lauderdale and Miami,on a cruise ship named Sea Escape,a wonderful casino on water.Then,I sang in the Scandinavian countries,in Northen Europe,contries like Norway where I had contract(2004-2005) in cities like Tronheim,Surnadal and Bergen.From november of 2005 to September of 2006 I had a contract in Greenland,in the city of Nuuk.My next contract is on November of 2006 in Norway.So,Im open for singing in a variety of places where people like to hear good music and know to enjoy music.
I hope that everybody who read my biography understand what music means to me and also the fact that I wouldnt be able to do so many things,to travel so far if I didnt like what Im doing.
